On April 10, 2018, more than 200 students came together in front of the Massachusetts Statehouse to amplify the voices of student survivors and their allies. We took a stand with survivors asked leaders in the Massachusetts House Ways & Means Committee to take every possible measure to keep our campuses safe. They listened, reporting out our climate survey bill leading to a unanimous vote in the House for it to pass.
We are grateful to the survivors, allies, non-profit partners, and legislators who joined us in April for the impact they helped bring.
Two bills still sit before the Massachusetts State legislature that are supported by survivors, advocates, and researchers.
These are bills are driven by thousands students and endorsed by Jane Doe Inc., the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, No More, End Rape on Campus, Know Your IX and SurvJustice.
